Preparations...

After couple of days getting our stuff together and our jetlag in order we are ready to go! Tomorrow the hike begins!
The flight to San Diego didn't go very smooth. It took an hour longer to get from Tel Aviv to New York, which caused us to miss the connection to San Diego. We've got putted on a later flight.
We stay at Scout & Frodo place for couple of days.
Scout & Frodo are what it called "trail angels". And they really are angels!
They open their house for PCT hikers, offer 3 great meals a day, pick you up from the airport, give you a ride for the starting point of the trail and a lot more.
A typical dinner at Scout & Frodo:

After 2 days of shopping for gear and food we were finally ready to start hiking.
On Friday morning we had our last breakfast at Scout & Frodo and on 6:00 a.m we were already on our way to Campo, where the trail begins.
The first trail picture and we're ready to go :)

  1. Sounds great start. By saying "It took an hour long to get from Tel Aviv to New York" I assume you meant "an hour longer"...
