Wrightwood to Agua Dulce

It was very hard to leave the Coombs house, but we had to...
Steve convinced us to skip 5 miles of the trail, and start on Vincent Gap, where the climb to Mt Baden Powell starts. And so we did. Steve and Shannon gave us a ride to the trailhead and 2 minutes after saying goodbye we were already in the middle of the climb.
Snow leftovers from the day before were everywhere, especially on the trees.
We felt good, the weather was perfect.

2 hours later we were in Mt Baden Powell peak. Had early lunch and enjoyed those last minutes of clear sky.

Clouds were coming fast from everywhere towards us. On our way down it was so cold and foggy we could barely see something 3 meters infront of us.

The last 3 miles for that day were road walk. After 10 minutes a truck stopped for us. There we were, sitting on the back of the truck and trying not to fall...

At camp Roi played with Shredder, a hiker who carries a guitar (and he is really good player).
That night was so cold, and we had our first camp fire. The next day we found out it was below freezing temperature...

The day after was very clear and warm. We enjoyed the first half of it, passing the 400 miles sign.

At some point, we bumped into Steve, the guy who trail angeling while supporting his hiker wife. As usual, his car was full of good things. We ate and drank until it was time to continue. We were about to hike 25 miles that day.
Just few minutes later on the trail we had to stop again, because of a trail maintenance work.

Apparently at mile 407 we had to skip the trail and take a road walk instead, since the last 12 miles of the trail were burned and FULL of poodle dog bush,
But We didn't know that.
And we only found out about it after getting super late to the camp ground with black hands from the burned trees on the trail we had to pass.
Everyone else took the road walk :(

The next day we learned from yesterday's mistake and skipped the next  burned section, by road walking. We road walked about 17 miles. It was so boring and painful to walk on the dirt road, that in the last couple of miles i just started running... then Roi joined me. We ran few miles and it felt so good :) It's definitely an interesting way to experience the trail.

We got to the camp ground on time for lunch. Saw the park ranger that lives there , and got a leftover cake from a party he and his colleagues had the other night. Yummy!

We had another 8 miles on the trail. We actually ran some of it as well. We liked the idea of running in the heat with heavy backpack :)

25 more miles completed! We arrived to a caravan park, which has a swimming pool and a whirlpool. We had to share it with s bunch of kids, but it was great anyway...

The next day we only had to walk ~10 miles to a town called Agua Dulce. I actually ran about 2 miles of it :)

We stayed at a trail angel house called hikers heaven. That night they had a wedding reception event for their son who got married. And guess who ate more than 400 grams of meat, salads, beers and cakes?
